Here is our selection of recommended hotels in Cappadocia. It certainly has no pretence to be a complete list of all the hotels in Cappadocia, and although we have visited all of them and know them well, we haven't stayed in all of the hotels listed.
However, what we can say that these are hotels which we recommend to our friends and family when they come to visit us.

In the heart of the picturesque village of Ortahisar, Cappadocia Alba Cave is a heady mix of luxury, elegance and Turkish hospitality true to its cultural heritage. This family-run hotel is a perfect base for exploring the valleys and fairy chimneys of this unique region of Cappadocia. Alba Cave Hotel has 6 rooms, each one different and individually decorated, all with luxurious ensuite bathrooms and tea and coffee-making facilities. Of course Wi-fi is available throughout, the hotel, free of charge. In the evening you can sit out on one of the terraces and enjoy a drink with friends or family. In the morning you can admire the stunning view as you enjoy a hearty breakfast spread made up of organic locally-sourced foods, with jams made from fruit from the family orchard and omelettes made to order.
Halil, the owner, is a licensed tour guide who speaks French and Spanish as well as English and will really do everything to make you feel at home. He was born and brought up in this beautiful region and knows all the valleys by heart, this was his childhood playground! When you push open the grand wooden doors of Aya Kapadokya, a whole new world opens up to you! You step back in time to an era when Ürgüp was known by its Greek name of Prokopi and this magnificent hotel was a Greek mansion housing subterranean wineries, kitchens, stables, cave dwellings and a chapel. All of these spaces have been lovingly and patiently restored to their original state; each of the hotel rooms has its own history and the owners gone out of their way to provide luxurious comfort and sumptuous en suite bathrooms while respecting the character of each of the 12 superb rooms. Even the tables are made from old wooden doors which were rescued from the rubble during the restoration of this elegant mansion.
Emre and Begüm, the owners, are wonderfully friendly, helpful and passionate about their project, which they want to transform into a cultural space open for art residence and research; the library will soon house over 2000 books, some dating back to 16th century. You immediately feel at ease here in this oasis of soothing comfort and generous hospitality. Every detail has been thought through to make you feel welcome and add to the harmonious ambiance.

Canyon Cave Hotel is located in the historic area of Esbelli, part of the village of Ürgüp in the very centre of Cappadocia. Gamirasu Hotel is located near Ürgüp, in the quaint village of Ayvalı. Selçuklu Evi is a beautiful boutique hotel and a fine example of Seljuk architecture. Situated in a small lane surrounded by local homes and gardens this area has panoramic views of rock hewn caves and the old village of Ürgüp. This antique house has been lovingly restored by hand. The local craftsmen of Ürgüp spent 2 years to complete the restoration. Each block was quarried from the local area and then manually sculptured and levelled before becoming part of Selçuklu Evi. As much as possible of the original house has been conserved. Each motif and impression on the stones has a story to tell, which is why this restoration is so unique.
Stone House Cave Hotel is situated in Göreme in the Anatolian heartland of Cappadocia, a cradle of religions, where many civilizations have developed over thousands of years.
