Weather in Turkey

Turkey's climate

Turkey’s total area is a vast 814,578 sq km (97 percent in Asia, 3 percent in Europe). Turkey has seven distinct climatic regions, but the most important distinctions are between the coast with its moderate winter temperatures and hot, humid summers, and the inland area of Central Anatolia with the cold winters and hot and dry summers. In Cappadocia you may be surprised after the end of a very hot summer day to find that the evenings can be chilly; it is worth packing a light fleece.

Below you can see the weather forecast for the next 5 days, provided by the Turkish State Meteorological Service.
